Vastu & Design
Why some of our pieces carry a Vastu Recommended mark.
What the mark means
A piece marked Vastu Recommended has been reviewed by our design team for the qualities Vastu Shastra cares about: natural materials, rounded or grounded forms, and a shape that supports easy movement rather than blocking it.
It is guidance, not superstition
Most Vastu principles have a practical core — light, airflow, circulation and a sense of order. We treat them as design guidance, and we will never tell you a room is unlucky in order to sell you furniture.
Placement basics
- Heavy furniture sits best along south and west walls
- Beds are calmest with the head to the south or east
- Mirrors work well on north and east walls, never facing the bed
- Keep the centre of a room open — circulation matters more than any object
